Ackworth

Went to Mum's for the day and had a delicious hotpot for lunch.

Harewood

Had a walk around the grounds of Harewood House and then lunch at the Harewood Arms - a really great day with clear skies so some nice views, and good company again for lunch.

Christmas

Christmas day lunch - a really great meal with good company.

Shopping

Finally got round to doing some Christmas shopping. This was am idea for one.

Tissington Trail

Went to Hartington to get the lamb and cheese for Christmas and had a walk along the Tissington trail whilst we were there.

Old Vic

Took Sam to Bristol for an audition at the Old Vic theatre school. Lots of hours in the car for a 15 minute audition.

CIM Live

At the CIM Live event to try and get more students. Not many turned up though unfortunately.

After a couple of weeks with no top cupboards whilst the ceiling was replaced they are back - and the dining table is clear again.

Scary Pavements

This was one of many similar patterns which were being shone onto the pavements in the old town of Le Mans when we went for a meal in the evening - only a 400 mile round trip but well worth it.

A renault F1 car in Schipol airport spotted whilst en-route from Manchester to Kiev again.

Mr Happy

Somone was having fun in a field beside the M62 near Scammonden Dam - not sure what it was made of, but certainly stood out.

Helping Dad move his Autocars and other magazines - this was just one of the van loads!

Pavement or waterfall?

I think it was deliberate, but it was unusual to see a set of steps converted to a waterfall.

Bread

No need to choose brown or white - both in one loaf from the restaurant where I ate.

Kiev Coupe

Saw this Fiat Coupe parked on the main street in Kiev - it was for sale but had been crashed at the front and I doubt there are many bonnets spare in Ukraine. Very unusual colour too.

On the beach

Well, sort of a beach - this is the island in the middle of the Dnipro River in Kiev. I walked across to it which was something I had wanted to do for ages but never had time before. A really hot day - still really warm in the evening too.

Smart

Test drove this Smart but thought it was a bit expensive and it didn't feel quite right anyway - still quite fun though!

Harewood speed Hillclimb

At Harewood for the hillclimb - Pete was competing in his Porsche, but I loved this Austin Seven.

La Forge

We did do some other things on the house besides the veranda - this is the front of the forge with its repainted doors and windows (with a full complement of glass) as we left for England.

Veranda again

Two posts today,  just to show the veranda in it's final state before we head home - really pleased with how it has come out.

Grasshopper

This enormous grasshopper was on the doorframe of the veranda in the evening - I guess cutting the grass made him homeless.

Grass Cutting

Managed to get the grass cut before leaving - a bit wet really but at least it shouldn't be quite so bad in October! This is Dad's grass.

Shopping and work

Took this photo whilst in Carhaix to use for work - I have a picture I took in Kiev of Camaieu so I will use them both when talking about international marketing.
