Tax return day

Much of the day was spent trying to get online to file my tax return. It would have helped if the system hadn't crashed!

Preparation

Spent most of the day and evening getting ready for tomorrow's training course.

Paris CDG

Having walked quickly through Paris Charles de Gaulle airport after arriving from Kiev I was the last person to get on the plane to Manchester.

Students

My student group from this weekend.

Big Credit

They have big credit card adverts in Kiev - not sure about how high the credit limit might be though!

Khreschatyk

Looking onto the main street in Kiev - Khreschatyk - from one of the roads which approach it.

Flying

Flying somewhere over Ukraine - it was cloudy almost all the way but briefly there was a gap showing some snow on the ground below. Flights on time all the way and arrived in Kiev OK.

Packing

I'm off to Kiev in the morning so today has been frantic preparation and packing this evening. Blog may be sporadic over the nest few days!

Burnt pan

Not strictly mine because it was Suzy who left it cooking but I scrubbed it! Each of the small black marks is where a grain of rice took the enamel off the pan.

Steamy windows

Loads of rain all day. And everywhere I drove I ended up with steamy windows in my car.

New blinds

I put the new roman blinds up in Sam's room today - and very good they look too!

Delicious!

I was tempted by the ads. The M&S pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding is very good.

Sam's new shoes

On her way out for the evening, to two parties, in her shiny new shoes.

Finished marking!

Finished my marking and all the paperwork for this batch - no more until June. Glad to have got it done.

Varnish

The new windowsill in the bathroom got some extra coats of varnish. And I finished marking exam papers for now.

Rain

Not wanting to blog about weather, but all that seems to have happened today is that it has rained. Just got wet going out to lock the garage.

Course delivery finished

Finished delivering the Marketing Planning course this evening so there books can in away for a while. New subject next week.

Lisa's new mats

Lisa and Pete invited us for dinner so they could use their new dinner mats.

Autosport show

An interesting car in the Pistonheads show area at the Autosport show - a Climax. Lots of other interesting things to see, a good day out.

Amaryllis again

Spent all day marking exam papers so nothing exciting, but the amaryllis has got even more spectacular. The flowers are slightly glittery.

Grass van

Passed this Innocent smoothies van which is covered with fake grass. Interesting way to advertise!

Using my Christmas present

The first time I have used the great bag I got for Christmas as tonight is the first time I have been away.

The Amaryllis

The flowers on the amaryllis we bought for Christmas have been getting better each day, another one opening today.

Midget

I haven't done anything special today but Midget thinks the chicken bones from my tea smell good and is willing them to fall off the surface!

Moving the Chandelier

Not a very productive day, but I did move Sam's chandelier to the bedroom she now uses without dropping it on the floor Trotter style!

Suzy's Birthday

Having Spanish Tapa's in La Tasca in Leeds.

Engrossed in Messenger!

Suzy got so engrossed in MSN Messenger that she couldn't hear me talking to her. Either that or it was a convenient way to ignore me!

Assignment marking.

This blog is supposed to show something interesting each day. Today, however, I have largely spent marking marketing communication assignments so not very interesting!

Back in my own car!

After not driving it for a couple of weeks it's great to be back in my own car! I missed it.
