Looking more like a room, plasterboard in place, along with the insulation it has really reduced the noise.

Stopped for a look around on the way to Gare de Motreff, really interesting place.

Fresh strawberries

Very late in the year but a fresh strawberry in our garden - very tasty too!

New boots

Spent lots of money on some apparently environmentally friendly boots - Timberland Earthkeeper 2.0!

Rainy day

Rained hard all day so no photo other than this of a nearly completed building seen from my room.

Performance

I've got no idea what was going on or why but there was a performance of some sort taking place in the centre of Kiev this evening, it was on TV when I got back to the hotel.

Red hoses

Fitted the red silicon hoses to my car today, they have been in the boot for ages so thought it was about time. Looking at the photo I should repaint the rocker cover too!

Cooked lots of crepes for Suzy's clients, made a bit of a mess too!

Another Birthday!

Mum and her dessert at Brasserie Blanc in Leeds, a really excellent meal.

Nice wheels

The Rolls Royce Corniche in which Dad was chauffeured to lunch for his actual birthday. Another great meal and great transport which made Dad feel good.

Spider

This spider was building a web about 4ft long between the gate and car

Green, green grass

Green grass growing from purple seeds. Whatever the purple coating on the seeds was it has made the grass planted in the field grow quickly. Not very organic I don't suppose.

Networking

Evening in Leeds at a networking event, a good evening.

Short shower

Just about managed to stay dry on the dog walk as the downpour passed quickly whilst we were under some trees.

Future forest

Transferred lots of Cordyline seedlings into larger pots, really pleased with them so far, just hoping they keep growing!

Nearly

Had a look at this car tonight, it is very nice but maybe not quite the right one.

Capital city

Spent the day in London with Suzy, Lisa and Sam. Great day, thanks all!

Will it rain?

Threatening skies on our dog walk today but fortunately it stayed dry for us.

Exercise?

I bought a balance ball today, other than a bike (which is transport really) it is the first thing for exercise I have ever bought! Hope it helps my ankles more than anything.

Another new toy

Now replaced two of the three petrol engines tools which were stolen, and no tree is safe!

Cars 2

Just been to see Cars 2 - great film, fabulous attention to detail for petrolheads!

Bike ride

First bike ride I gave had for ages, I didn't go far but at least I went!

MOT pass!

Finally, my car has an MOT again and I am able to drive it. Big relief and very happy.

Back home

Failure day - back at work, busy day and I forgot to take a picture. Probably only a pile of post or something if I had anyway! Normal service tomorrow hopefully!

Last day

The final result of nearly a month of work, the roof as seen from the track across the road.

Swim time

A quick swim in the sea this evening, not as warm as expected but very refreshing!

Concerneau

Spent a pleasant afternoon in Concarneau, great icecream!

Shadows concert!

A concert in Gare de Motreff with the Shadows. Actually "Skeudou Are Shads", and Cliff didn't put in an appearance.  Good fun though!

C'est fini!

Ridge pieces on so all watertight now. Woo-hoo!

Panels all on

End panels now fitted, they went on fairly easily inn center cut correctly to clear thhre telegraph pole!

Very close

Only the end pieces, which need cutting, left to do.

Nearly there

Pretty good progress today but a "French day" socialising with neighbours meant we didn't get quite as far as I hoped.

And the answer is.....

.....five panels fitted today, 1/3 of the way there, possibly get the rest on tomorrow. The ridge pieces will take longer!

All the wood reinforced, ready to start putting the metal sheets on now, let's see how many we can do tomorrow!

Shutters finished

The shutters I started making at Easter are now finished with all the centre lock-bar fittings installed.
