Harewood speed Hillclimb

At Harewood for the hillclimb - Pete was competing in his Porsche, but I loved this Austin Seven.

La Forge

We did do some other things on the house besides the veranda - this is the front of the forge with its repainted doors and windows (with a full complement of glass) as we left for England.

Veranda again

Two posts today,  just to show the veranda in it's final state before we head home - really pleased with how it has come out.

Grasshopper

This enormous grasshopper was on the doorframe of the veranda in the evening - I guess cutting the grass made him homeless.

Grass Cutting

Managed to get the grass cut before leaving - a bit wet really but at least it shouldn't be quite so bad in October! This is Dad's grass.

Shopping and work

Took this photo whilst in Carhaix to use for work - I have a picture I took in Kiev of Camaieu so I will use them both when talking about international marketing.

A great view from the track whilst walking the dog - looking over the plain of Brittany I suppose, not sure what it is actually called.

Roscoff

Went to Roscoff to visit our neighbour, Guy, in the recovery centre, then had a walk on a beach for the first time al holiday.

Wheely useful

We found this wheel buried in the garden - just a small part of the rim was showing.

More progress

We seem to be spending a lot of time on this quick tidy up job!

Enclosing the veranda

Some wood on the outside of the veranda - beginning to look great and becoming usable again. Just doors and windows and more wood to go!

Another visit to the Montagne Noir for lunch before everyone left - as good as ever!

Wiring

Callac market

Went to Callac for the market in the morning - we had a good time with nice weather.

Bridge over the river ??

Not sure what the river is called, but it is the boundary between Finistere and Cote D'Amour and leads down to our garden

Car door

This door was underneath the veranda - only needs a small amount of welding and it should be fine. But what does it fit?

Veranda again

The glass is in, the roof frame in place, but not finished yet!

2CVboat

We went to Quimperle and watched someone launch and drive/pilot this combination of a 2CV and a boat at pretty high speeds on the river.
